From incorporation to the filings nobody warned you about
Setting a company up is the easy part. What catches businesses out is what follows: the auditor who must be appointed within thirty days, the declaration of commencement of business, annual returns to the Registrar of Companies, director KYC, GST returns, TDS deposits and the trade licence that quietly expires.
We handle incorporation through SPICe+ on the MCA portal and then hold the compliance calendar, so filings happen on time rather than being remembered when a penalty notice arrives.
Because penalties for late filing accrue daily and can eventually lead to director disqualification, the cost of missing these is rarely a one-off.
Licences, certifications and sector approvals
Depending on what you do and where, that can mean a trade licence from the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, registration under the West Bengal Shops and Establishments legislation, professional tax, GST, FSSAI authorisation at the correct tier, an Import Export Code, pollution control consent, or BIS certification for products under mandatory certification.
Certification to standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001:2022, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 is a separate track, and the certificate must come from a body accredited by NABCB or an equivalent recognised through the IAF arrangement if your customers are to accept it.
We assess which of these apply to your business rather than selling a bundle, and we keep the renewal dates.
Protecting the name and the paperwork behind the business
Trade marks are registered per class under the Nice Classification and filed on Form TM-A through the Trade Marks Registry. Registration lasts ten years from filing and is renewable, and protection exists only in the classes you file, which is why class selection deserves more thought than it usually gets.
Alongside that sit the documents that decide what happens when something goes wrong: founders and shareholders agreements, employment contracts with intellectual property assignment, customer contracts with workable dispute clauses, and website terms and a privacy policy that reflect the DPDP framework.
Because our branding team is in the same organisation, availability searching happens before an identity is finalised rather than after signage is printed.
How we work and what it costs
We start with a compliance review covering your structure, sector, states of operation and headcount, and produce a written calendar listing every obligation, its due date and its statutory basis. That document is yours whether or not you continue with us.
Fees are quoted per engagement with government fees itemised separately, so you can see what is a statutory charge and what is professional work. Government fees are set by the relevant authority and are not refundable if an application fails.
Our office is at B/80A Ganganagar, Mukundapur, Kolkata, West Bengal 700099. Call +91 82749 59326 or write to [email protected] to arrange the review.

FAQ
Compliance Services: questions we are asked
Typically incorporation or firm registration, PAN and TAN, a trade licence from the local municipal authority, registration under the West Bengal Shops and Establishments legislation, professional tax, and GST once the threshold is crossed or you supply interstate. Sector licences such as FSSAI or drug licensing apply on top.
Annual cost depends on structure and sector. An LLP carries a lighter filing burden than a private limited company, and regulated sectors add licence renewals and audits. We quote per engagement with government fees itemised separately, so you can distinguish statutory charges from professional fees before committing.
Yes. Company law, tax and trade mark filings are central and can be handled from anywhere in India. State-level items such as professional tax, shops and establishments registration and trade licences vary by state, and we coordinate those with the relevant local authority for each place you operate.
Late filing attracts additional fees that accrue daily, and prolonged default can lead to director disqualification or the company being struck off. It is usually recoverable. We assess the exposure, file outstanding returns in the correct sequence and tell you the total cost before any work begins.
Yes. Registration, licensing, trade marks, certification and legal documentation are handled by one team holding one compliance calendar for your business. That avoids the common situation where three advisors each assume another one filed the return that has now been outstanding for eight months.
Talk it through before you commit a budget.
A short call is usually enough to scope compliance services properly, and you will get a written quote with what is in and what is not.
