Web Services

Website designing company in Kolkata

We design websites that load quickly, read clearly on a phone and give every visitor an obvious next step.

How a Turtbit design project actually runs

We start with a working session, not a template. We want to know who buys from you, what they ask before they buy, and which page has to do the persuading. That conversation produces a sitemap and a page-by-page content plan, so nobody is guessing what goes above the fold three weeks later.

From there we wireframe the templates that matter: home, service or category, product or detail, and the enquiry path. Wireframes are reviewed in grey before anyone argues about colour, which is the cheapest place to change your mind.

Visual design then happens in Figma as a small design system rather than a stack of unrelated screens. Type scale, spacing, buttons, form states and card patterns are defined once and reused, so the site stays coherent when you add pages later.

Designed for Indian networks and the phones people really use

Most of your traffic will arrive on a mid-range Android handset on a congested mobile network. We design to that reality: restrained image weight, WebP or AVIF delivery, subsetted web fonts and layouts that do not depend on a hero video to make sense.

The targets we design against are the Core Web Vitals thresholds Google publishes: Largest Contentful Paint under 2.5 seconds, Interaction to Next Paint under 200 milliseconds and Cumulative Layout Shift under 0.1. INP replaced First Input Delay in March 2024 and it punishes heavy scripts far harder, so we keep third-party tags to what you can justify.

We reserve space for images and embeds in the design itself, which removes most layout shift before a single line of code is written.

Accessibility, readability and multilingual typography

We design to WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a working standard: text contrast of at least 4.5 to 1, visible focus states, touch targets large enough for a thumb, and forms with labels rather than placeholder-only fields. This is ordinary good design, and it also removes a whole class of usability complaints.

For businesses serving West Bengal we plan Bengali and Devanagari typography properly, choosing faces with real Indic support and testing line height so conjuncts are not clipped. Transliterated English set in a Latin font is not the same thing.

Every layout is checked at 320 pixels wide, at tablet width and on a large desktop before it is signed off.

Timelines, revisions and what changes the price

A focused marketing site of eight to twelve pages usually takes three to five weeks of design once content direction is agreed. An ecommerce catalogue, a booking flow or a members area takes longer because there are more states to design, not because there are more pages.

Cost moves with the number of unique templates, whether photography and copywriting are needed, and how many stakeholders sign off. We quote after the discovery session rather than from a rate card, and the quote lists what is in and what is not.

Two rounds of structured revision per template are built in. Requests that change the brief become a written change note so the timeline stays honest.

FAQ

Web Designing: questions we are asked

Price depends on how many unique templates the site needs and whether copy and photography are included, so we quote after a discovery call rather than from a price list. A small brochure site with four or five templates costs a fraction of a catalogue store with filtering, accounts and checkout. You get a written scope with the quote.
