Branding agency in Kolkata

Positioning, identity and the guidelines that keep a brand consistent once more than one person is using it.

Positioning comes before anything visual

A logo cannot fix an unclear proposition. We start with the strategic questions: who you are genuinely for, what you do better or differently, what you deliberately do not do, and how a customer would describe you to a colleague after one conversation.

That work draws on customer and staff interviews and a review of how competitors in your category actually talk, which is usually more revealing than any framework. Most categories in India converge on identical language, and the gap that leaves is the opportunity.

The output is a written positioning statement, an audience definition, a set of proof points and a messaging hierarchy. Everything visual is then judged against whether it expresses that or contradicts it.

Identity design that works across every surface

Identity work covers the logo and its variants, a type system with licensed weights, a colour palette that meets contrast requirements in real interfaces, iconography, photography direction and layout principles.

We test marks where they will actually appear: a phone screen, an invoice, a signboard, embroidery on a uniform, a vehicle, a favicon at sixteen pixels and a single-colour print. Marks that only work in a presentation are the most common failure in identity design.

Naming, where it is in scope, is run alongside availability checks, including the Trade Marks Registry search, domain availability and MCA name availability, so you do not fall in love with a name you cannot secure.

Guidelines, assets and consistent rollout

A brand only holds together if the people using it daily know the rules. Guidelines cover clear space, minimum sizes, correct and incorrect usage, colour values for screen and print including CMYK and Pantone references, type scale and tone of voice with worked examples.

We supply working files rather than flattened exports: vector logo sets, templates for documents, presentations and social formats, and email signature markup. The aim is that your team can produce on-brand material without commissioning an agency for every request.

Rollout is sequenced so the change happens visibly rather than leaking out over a year, with a checklist covering website, signage, stationery, uniforms, packaging, listings and profiles.

Protecting the brand you have paid to build

A brand that is not registered is a brand you can be forced to abandon. Trade marks in India are registered per class under the Nice Classification, filed on Form TM-A through the Trade Marks Registry, and a registration lasts ten years from the filing date and is renewable on Form TM-R.

We run availability searches before design work is finalised rather than after, because discovering a conflict once signage is printed is an expensive way to learn about class 35.

Because compliance and design sit in the same organisation here, filing, objection replies and renewals are handled by the team that already knows the mark, rather than being handed to a third party who has to be briefed from scratch.

FAQ

Branding: questions we are asked

A logo is one asset. A brand identity is the whole system that makes you recognisable without it: typography, colour, imagery, layout, tone of voice and the positioning underneath. A logo delivered without that system produces inconsistent material within months, because nobody knows what the rules are.
